Another way of enjoying Estonia's breathtaking beauty is on horseback. You don't need to be an experienced rider to go riding; there are riding camps and elementary training sessions conducted for beginners. Imagine racing towards a coastal sunset, or visiting remote villages with their own unique history

Some of the rural tourism farmsteads have their own horses, but in most of the cases we co-operate with horse breeding farmsteads or horse riding clubs in the surroundings, which offer the guests horseback riding and the assistance of professional trainers.

There are several riding possibilities near Tallinn

- JänedaJäneda horse-breeding farm offers horse-back riding in the nature, in Kõrvemaa national park. In addition to that they arrange horse-carriage and sledge-rides.

Ruila stable offers horse-back riding courses for beginners and also advanced learners.

If you wish to combine riding with a more extensive tour in Estonia we suggest you go to Saaremaa.

In West- Saaremaa. Pilguse - the house and manor house of the famous admiral and discoverer of the Antarctica Bellingshausen. The manor has been converted into conference and wellness centre. They offer riding on nature trails with Estonian breed horses with experienced guides. No previous experience is required as you will be accompanied by experienced guides.


- TihuseTihuse riding farm on Muhu island offers accommodation and riding trips from 10 to 50 participants. 10 different routes for both beginners and more experienced riders.

Visit Tori horse breeding farm. Estonia has its own horse breed, the Estonian Native Horse, also called the klepper. It belongs to the Northern forest-horse group and the oldest records date back to 11th century.

Tori Stud has made preserving and continuously developing the Tori horse and Estonian horse breeds, as a part of Estonian national cultural heritage, its mission.

In the course of the tour, you can visit the beautiful stables that belong to the Tori Manor ensemble built in 1862 and take a look at the everyday life of the farm. You ride in the farm's yard, a manège or on the beautiful Tori landscapes. You can go either horseback riding or a ride in horse-drawn carriage. A 2-3 hour trip to the nature with horses where you can also have a picnic, or going to the forest in a horse-drawn sleigh in winter to take food to wild animals are also interesting experiences.
